Our Methodologies
MSI has many successful approaches. Our models contain detailed web-based guidelines with links to sample deliverables and templates. Inputs, outputs, techniques and estimating models - both top-down and bottom-up - are also included. Traditional models often provide step-by-step methods in a single-path format, but our model takes a multipath approach, allowing phases and tasks to be revisited throughout the project plan.
Our methodologies include (this is not an exclusive list):
dPACE
The dPACE (Distributed Plan-Activate-Control-End) Project Management method is intended to facilitate successful business and IT projects. There are significant business challenges and risks associated with the management and delivery of large, complex projects. The challenges multiply when a project is distributed over multiple locations. We can assume those challenges and risks because we have a proven process in place which, when followed, ensures success. The disciplined approach provided by our dPACE method aids us in bringing our projects to successful conclusion. As our projects become larger and more complex, our project management method, more than ever, becomes a valuable intellectual property, which leverages our experiences to aid in ensuring consistent delivery results.
MOST
Think of MOST (Management, Operations, Social Systems and Technology) as a way of thinking about our delivery process to ensure complete coverage of all dimensions of a project. MOST is a method to emphasize that there is more to a working solution than the technology used. Used properly at the start of the project, mind-sets can be modified and projects can progress knowing that all aspects needed for success are in place. The MOST viewpoint serves a variety of useful purposes. For more information about MOST, read our white paper about this MSI approach.
Distributed Application Development (DAD)
The DAD process is the result of a commitment to continuous learning, refinement of experience and improvement of process as new ideas have been developed and new technologies have been employed. It is a collection of experiences and best practices that have been taken from real-world development engagements, providing development teams with access to shared experiences and a proven, repeatable process. The DAD process encompasses modern design principles and proven practices to facilitate the development task and provide developers with a blueprint for building robust and correct distributed applications.
webWAVE
The webWAVE development process allows organizations to focus on the ways that Internet technology can best benefit their company. This process provides development teams with a blueprint for establishing a corporate communications vehicle that has the potential to streamline business processes, allow increased access to corporate information, and revolutionize knowledge sharing; while reducing overall communications costs.
